We are looking forward to another a visit from Zoolab. This time- they will bring with them a variety of creatures and reptiles which will take part in a story about The Kindness Elves. Not sure how they will do this- so it should be quite exciting!

Come in a Christmas jumper/outfit and donate if you wish to Save the Children charity.
Christmas Party Friday 20th December
On this day as previously advised we will be open from 8.00am for all our usual Friday attendees, but we will finish the day at 1.30pm.
There will be the usual morning session until 11.30 and then the party will commence at 11.30 and finish at 1.30.
This is a party for everyone! Any child who would not normally be with us on a Friday morning are very welcome to join us at 11.30- please just let me know. Also, if your child would normally be picked up at 11.45 on that Friday- we hope they can stay on for the party- again please let me know.
During the party we will have party games, party lunch and finish with a visit from Santa. There is no extra charge for the party.
From Monday 9th December we will be selling raffle tickets- 5 for £1 and the prize will be an amazing children’s hamper packed with lots of Christmas goodies of which items could be used if you wish for lots of stocking fillers! The draw will take place on Wed 18th December.

We have a pre-school post box just inside the door. If your child would like to send any cards to their friends- just pop them in there and we will deliver. I also will have some lists of children’s names available for you to have if you would like one.
School Christmas Fayre Sunday 8th December 12noon-2pm
Come on down and enjoy the fun at the school’s Christmas fayre! Lots of stalls, activities, Santa, festive burgers, mulled wine, hot chocolate, raffle, tombola’s, face painting and lots more including preschool’s stall of second-hand toys and games.
Children’s photo files/booklets
Your child’s key person has been busy putting together a file/booklet which includes photos and maybe pieces of work which they have been doing this term. There will also be a short-written summary of their development.
These will be ready to be handed out before we finish for Christmas. We would appreciate returning these when we return in January and please sign the slip in the book to show that we have shared this with you.
If you would like to change any of your child’s hours and have not already spoken to me- please let me know. Please bear in mind that Tuesdays are now full.
From the start of a term following a child’s 3rd birthday- any child who will be claiming the 3&4 year funding – a voluntary consumables charge is requested each month. We have been doing this for a while now.
This is requested due to the shortfall in funding we receive from the government to cover the child’s hours. It is voluntary and you may choose to pay the full amount requested, part of it or opt out of payment. Every child will be given the same care, education, opportunities and experiences irrespective of payment.
This is not for 2 year old children as their finding rate is higher, nor is it for any hours you are invoiced for.
At present we request £2 per funded morning attended and the same for an afternoon.
We are changing this to 50p for every funded hour that we claim for your child. This simplifies the calculations and we feel will be a fairer to everyone.
As our funding claim to the government is done on a termly basis- consumables will be calculated on how many funded hours in a particular term are claimed. This amount will then be requested in 3 or 4 equal monthly payments (depends on how many months in the term).
This again is a voluntary payment and will go towards providing consumable items. This includes and not limited to:
Hygiene and cleaning products, snacks (given twice a day), baking, arts & crafts, visits from outside educational groups e.g. the zoo lab as mentioned above, yoga classes etc
Thank you
We will finish for Christmas on Friday 20th December at 1.30 and re-open Monday 6th January
