Here at Addingham Pre School we are an experienced, passionate and dedicated team of Early Years professionals. We are Ofsted registered- our last inspection was January 2020 where we are proud to say we achieved an overall “Good” with outstanding areas.

A child’s early years are essential building blocks for their future and we are fully committed to giving your child the best possible start . We work closely with parents and carers to create a supportive and collaborative partnership that nurtures every child’s development.

We were originally formed in 1960 and at the time operated from the Memorial Hall in the village.

We moved onto a fantastic dedicated space within Addingham Primary School in 2012 where we have been ever since.

Throughout all these years- it is fantastic to think we have seen 100’s and 1000’s of children come through our doors!

Whilst we are based at school and  operate independently from them, we have a brilliant relationship with the school and being on site helps with a smooth transition for those who will attend the school, when the time comes.

We are very much a part of the local community  of which we are proud of and love being part of the gala parade, visiting our village hub where we are made very welcome and enjoy getting out there to explore our lovely village.

We have a a large communal play room used for lots of activities- especially the messy ones as the floor can be easily cleaned, 2 further carpeted rooms, our own toilets and cloakroom, a newly vamped free-flow exciting outdoor play area leading straight out from our main playroom, which is partially covered to allow shelter when needed and we also have use of the large school playground at the front.

The building is very accessible with wide doors and no steps anywhere ensuring we are inclusive for children and adults with disabilities.

We have lots of natural light through large windows, lots of green fields where sheep graze around us, along with a babbling beck and site of Beamsley Beacon- makes us feel very lucky to be here!

We are a registered charity and have the support of a parent committee which is a great way for parents to be involved with the running of our preschool.

Our aim is to enhance the learning and development of children in a safe, happy, stimulating and very caring environment , taking into account each child’s individual needs  and interests in preparation for the next big step in life…school

We would love to hear from you if you would be interested in coming and have a look around and a chat!
