Hello!
Hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and we wish you a Happy
New Year!
We are looking forward to hearing all about it upon our return on
Monday!
This month we are looking at the winter season and all that it brings us,
as well as a trip down south to the Antarctica to meet the penguins and a
trip up north to the Artic to see the polar bears and their friends!
Whilst we are on the subject of winter…and the possibility of snow -here
is a reminder of our snow procedures.
The safety of our children, their parents and carers as well as staff are of
great importance.
In the event of snow. we will fall in line with decisions that are made by
school.
Should a decision be made by school to remain closed I will be notified
around 7am after which I will send out an email to you all and also post
on our Facebook page as soon as possible, that we will also close.
If school decide to close during the school day- we will contact parents
of children we have in care at the time or due to attend later that day, as
to what we would like you to do e.g early pick up and/or that we will be
closing for the remainder of the day. A post will also be put up on our
Facebook page.
At any time- even if we are open but you prefer to keep your child at
home or come and collect early that is fine! The same goes for arriving
later than usual- just take it easy and arrive when you can.
If your child comes to preschool wearing wellies/snow boots etc- please
also bring a change of footwear for indoors. Pleas ensure any boots are
named- thank you.
We would be really appreciated the return on your child’s photo file as
soon as possible after our return on Monday.
Lunch boxes and drink containers
A reminder to also ensure lunch boxes/containers/bottle are names
please to avoid confusion. This also includes any small containers.
Also- please ensure no nut products, grapes are cut in half lengthways,
no food items with small stones in them e.g. olives and no sweets. Thank you
The cupboard will be bare and the fruit bowl will be empty upon our
return! It would be great if we could have some contributions please-
fruit, crackers, breadsticks, dried fruit, malt bread, scotch pancakes etc-
thank you.
Hopefully everyone with a child wanting a reception place September
2026 have placed their applications. Deadline is 15 th January.
We re- open Monday 5 th January when we look forward to saying “hello
again” to 3 new children- Jemima and Eve into our older cohort and
Freya into our younger cohort.
See you next week!
