We are registered to accept the Nursery Education Grant and 3 & 4 year old funding. We receive support for this funding from Bradford Local Authority

A child becomes automatically eligible for the funding, from the beginning of the term that follows their 3rd birthday. Each child is entitled  to 15 hours a week, 38 weeks per year. Once your child is old enough to claim, our Manager will speak to parents.

We are also registered for 2 Year Old Funding, but unlike the 3 & 4 year old funding there are certain criteria which has to be met to claim this. To qualify, one of the following must be met:

  • Eligible for free school meals
  • Child who is Looked After
  • Low Income families and earning no more than £16190 a year
  • Children who have a current Statement of Educational Needs or an education, health and care plan
  • Disability Living allowance
  • Children who have left care through special guardianship or an adoption or residence order

If  you feel you could be eligible for this 2 year old funding please speak with our Manager

Fees are payable for sessions not covered with the Nursery Education Grant

Any sessions not covered with the Nursery Grant are charged at the hourly rate

Hourly rate £6.00

30 Hour extended funding entitlement for working parents

For parents who are eligible for this extended funding, you are able to spend up to 15hrs of this entitlement with us.

Go to the website

From here you can find out if you are eligible. You will then be sent a code which any setting where you wish to claim all or part of the funding from, will need. This needs to be done in plenty of time before you intend to use it.

If you have already applied for/or claimed up to 30hrs of childcare and/or Tax-Free Childcare, you must reconfirm your eligibility when requested to do so, even if your circumstances haven’t changed. You must do this even though your child not have started their 30 hr place. You must do this approx. 3 months from the date you applied to continue to receive the extra hours. Log onto your childcare account to check your date for reconfirming. You will get a reminder email from HMRC to do this. The document below is information about how to do this.

Consumable charging

From the start of summer term 2022 we will be asking parents who use their Nursery Funding with us, for voluntary contributions towards paying for consumables.  This is not for children who already pay fees for their sessions.

This has come into force because the level of hourly funding we receive from the government for funded places does not match what we would charge per hour. We are not allowed to charge parents the difference but we can request voluntary contributions

These funds will cover items such as a variety of different crafting supplies, baking and food related activities, resources for planting & growing, as well as many resources which are purchased to enhance our settings weekly curriculum activities and basic equipment…… the list is endless.

The charge is £1 per session

The invoices will be worked out at the start of each half term depending upon the number of Nursery funded sessions your child will attend that half term. E.g if they will attend 20 sessions that half term- the charge will be £20.

This is a voluntary contribution and all children will have the same access to our provision regardless of payment. Nevertheless we would very much appreciate your payment.
